Second spikeball tournament of the "Roundnet Raccoons"

The trend sport "spikeball" is booming all over Germany, especially in university sports.

In 2018, the trend sport arrived at the AHS in Kassel and managed to inspire a group of students within a very short space of time, who play the new sport with a great deal of commitment and enjoyment. Next Saturday, on June 1st, the Raccoons will compete in their second official "mixed" tournament against teams from Marburg, Giessen and Frankfurt. A few successful rounds were already played last year.

You don't know Spikeball yet? Spikeball is played two against two on a round net that is placed on the floor. It can be played indoors, outdoors, in the sand or on the grass. The rules are similar to beach volleyball.
If volleyball and table tennis had a baby, the result would be spikeball.

The event takes place in a summery atmosphere on the lawn at the University of Kassel boathouse. 24 teams play for victory in fast-paced rallies with the little yellow ball. Spectators and fans of this young sport are very welcome.
