Research assistant (EG 13 TV-H) - in the field of animal breeding

Part-time with half the regular working hours of a full-time employee. The position is initially limited to 3 years with the possibility of extension for a further 2 years (qualification position according to § 65 HHG in conjunction with § 2 para. 1 sentence 1 WissZeitVG). The possibility of a doctorate is given.

Tasks

• Scientific collaboration in research and teaching in the field of animal breeding
• Independent teaching in the field of animal breeding
• Supervision of preliminary investigations for future research projects in the field of animal breeding
• Writing a project proposal on the relationship between performance and behavioral traits in laying hens
• Supervision of final theses

Requirements

• University degree in agricultural sciences (MSc) or comparable degree program completed with very good results
• Very good knowledge in the field of recording behavioral traits
• Experience in using MS Office and at least one common statistical software (R or SAS)
• Very good written and spoken English skills
