Research assistant (m/f/d), EG 13 TV-H - in the field of business administration, especially corporate finance

Part-time with 75% of the regular working hours of a full-time employee with the possibility of increasing to a full-time position. The position is initially limited until 28.02.2022 as part of a project with Evangelische Bank eG (EB) and EB - Sustainable Investment Management GmbH (EB-SIM) (§ 2 para. 2 WissZeitVG). The possibility of a doctorate is given.

Tasks:

Research and teaching as part of the above-mentioned project, in particular in the areas of sustainable investments and investor preferences.

In teaching, colleagues will be supported in courses on investment and financing, empirical capital market research, sustainable portfolio and asset management, financial management of banks, overall bank management and data preparation using MS-Excel and the statistical software R.

In research, the focus is on empirical capital market research, particularly with regard to sustainable investments. In addition, research into the investment behavior of private and institutional (sustainable) investors is of great relevance.

Requirements:

You have completed a university degree (Diploma or Master's degree) in economics/business administration/industrial engineering/business mathematics or a related field with above-average grades and have sound theoretical and methodological knowledge in the areas of finance and empirical capital market research. You also have very good communication skills in German and English.

This is an advantage:

Ideally, you have also completed training as a bank clerk (or similar) and/or have gained experience (e.g. internships) with banks/asset managers. Experience with MS Office and statistical software systems (e.g. R or STATA), as well as sound econometric knowledge are desirable. You will also enjoy taking on responsibility, have strong organizational skills as well as teamwork and communication skills.

The Chair's research focuses mainly on issues at the interface between finance/capital markets and ecological/ethical aspects. An empirical approach is chosen in particular.
