Technician or master craftsman (m/f/d), (EG 9 TV-H) - in the field of cutting and joining manufacturing processes

The employment is - subject to the approval of funds - initially limited until 30.09.2021 in accordance with § 14 para. 1 no. 1 TzBfG) as part of the project "Wood-cement hybrid systems for wall elements in timber construction; sub-project 3: Joining technology HZH wall".

The Department of Cutting and Joining Manufacturing Processes at the University of Kassel deals with both cutting and joining manufacturing processes. The department focuses on the areas of joining technology, mechanical processing and research into new material systems.

Your tasks:

• Supervision of test rigs and systems engineering, particularly in the field of mechanical processing
• Computer-aided design of experimental equipment and components
• Production/construction and commissioning of experimental equipment and operating stands
• Production of test specimens
• Independent preparation and execution of experiments
• Maintenance and servicing of laboratory equipment

Our requirements:

• Successfully completed training as an industrial, tool or machining mechanic or similar training or further training as a technician or further training as a master craftsman
• Confident handling of the operation and programming of machines and systems (CNC and NC controls)
• Experience in computer-aided design (CAD)
• Careful, independent and team-oriented way of working
• Experienced with MS Office
