Research Assistant (m/f/d), EG 13 TV-H - Department of Development Policy and Postcolonial Studies

Part-time with 85.00 percent of the regular working hours of a full-time employee. The position is initially limited for 3 years with the possibility of extension for a further 3 years (qualification position according to § 65 HHG in conjunction with § 2 para. 1 sentence 2 WissZeitVG). The possibility of habilitation is given.

Tasks:

• Academic collaboration in research and teaching in the field of development policy and postcolonial studies, including teaching in the English-language Master's program Global Political Economy and Development
• Independent work on a research sub-area in a corresponding topic

Prerequisites:

• Doctorate completed with very good results in one of the three areas of development policy, postcolonial studies, global political economy
• Good knowledge of the other two areas
• Teaching experience
• Very good knowledge of English

Advantageous are:

• Good methodological skills
• Field research experience
• Experience in the application and implementation of research projects
• Commitment to civil society
• Willingness to participate in social transfer projects in the specialist field
