Teaching and learning in the age of digitalization - Annual conference of the Centre for Teacher Education at the University of Kassel

On June 8, 2018, the Center for Teacher Education at the University of Kassel invites you to this year's annual conference at the Gießhaus on Holländischer Platz. Aspects of teaching and learning in digitalization processes will be discussed. The associated challenges and opportunities for the individual phases of teacher training will be discussed together. Registration is still possible.

The annual conference will be opened by Vice President Prof. Dr. René Matzdorf from the University of Kassel and Mr. Andreas Lenz, Head of the Hessian Teachers' Academy. The two keynote speeches will present professionalism concepts of digitalization in the context of schools and education as well as the development of competence strategies. Subsequently, current challenges in the implementation of digital education in schools and teacher training will be discussed using the World Café method.

The workshops invite active participation in the following topics: "Vocational education in the digital age: situation analysis", "Theoretical models & development perspectives for practice.", "The narrated society: education, upbringing and growing up in film", "Integrating digital media innovatively into science lessons - using the example of videography", "Reflective skills development with e-portfolios, cross-phase examples from teacher training" and "Learning with video podcasts in primary and secondary mathematics lessons - approaches for a multilingual student body". They offer a multi-perspective view of the respective issues and the possibility of a profitable exchange for all participants, especially due to the cross-phase design.
