StadtLabor on Free Radio Kassel: Women Architects under Socialism

Monotonous buildings made of gray concrete as a backdrop to dreary everyday life - a stereotypical image of architecture under socialism. Few people know that great buildings were also created here. Even fewer know that women were involved in many of the buildings. The research project "Second World, Second Sex: Women and Architecture under Socialism" at the University of Kassel aims to change this.
