Research assistant (EG 13 TV-H) - Department of Design and Building Theory

Part-time with 75% of the regular working hours of a full-time employee. The position is initially limited to 3 years with the possibility of extension for a further 2 years (qualification position according to § 65 HHG in conjunction with § 2 para. 1 sentence 1 WissZeitVG). The possibility of a doctorate or artistic qualification (in accordance with the General Provisions for Artistic Qualifications for Qualification Positions in the Faculty of Architecture, Urban Planning, Landscape Planning) is given.

Tasks

• Academic collaboration in research and teaching in the field of design and building theory
• Independent work on a research sub-area, preferably dealing with the performative potential of architecture for future

of architecture for future scenarios/needs

Prerequisites:

• Academic university degree in architecture with very good to good results
• Excellent design skills and ability to work with appropriate tools (analog, digital)

• Interest in research and development
• a high degree of organizational skills and an independent way of working

Advantageous are

• Several years of practical experience (architectural office, own projects...) outside the university
• Experience in teaching (topic development and project work with students)
• Design competence, proven by a corresponding portfolio
• Experience or interest in research and development
• Experience in dealing with digital media
