The interplay of art and music.

The films come from the four film-making universities in the network of the Hessian Film and Media Academy (see below) and will be performed live in several concerts with newly composed and improvised music. Artist tandems of film and music students will present their films in combination with composed or improvised music. As some of the filmmakers even take part in the live scoring themselves, the results are both experimental-performative and partially improvised, interweaving the arts in an innovative way. There will also be contributions from the MfS CreativeLab, a cooperation between the Kunsthochschule Kassel and the Institute for Music at the University of Kassel.

Following the restrictions imposed by the coronavirus pandemic, this concert is the first to be held in the concert hall of the Institute of Music.
