4 Project team members (EG 13 TV-H) - in the Teaching Service Center as part of the federal-state program "Quality Pact for Teaching" with the concept "Growth and Quality"

The following positions are available in the above-mentioned project:

1. in the sub-project "Competence-oriented e-exams ":

(a) Project team member (EG 13 TV-H), fixed-term, full-time (currently 40 hours per week).

The position is limited until 31.12.2020 (§ 14 para. 2 TzBfG).

b) Project team member (EG 13 TV-H), temporary, part-time (currently 20 hours per week)

Part-time with 50.00 percent of the regular working hours of a full-time employee. The position is limited until 31.12.2020 (§ 14 para. 2 TzBfG).

With this project, the University of Kassel is pursuing a strengthening of the didactic quality of exams as well as a quantitative expansion of e-exams through the further development of the stationary e-assessment center.

In this context, the post holders are to advise the departments and lecturers on the use of appropriate technical and didactic possibilities and ensure a corresponding transfer of knowledge within the university aimed at sustainability.

Your tasks:

• Independent administration and supervision of e-exams
• Advising and supporting lecturers in the development of competence-oriented e-exams
• Training and advising lecturers on the e-assessment software used
• Collaboration in internal and external project communication and reporting,

Your requirements:

• Completed academic university degree, preferably with a didactic focus
• Demonstrable, pronounced high affinity for technology and IT skills
• Practical experience in the field of "e-learning" and "e-assessment" at universities

Advantageous are:

• Knowledge of the Questionmark™ Perception™ software
• Strong communication and social skills
• Initiative and ability to work in a team
• High affinity for university structures and working methods

2. in the sub-project "Improving the ability to study (ProStudium)":

Project team member (EG 13 TV-H), fixed-term, part-time (currently 30 hours per week).

Part-time with 75.00 percent of the regular working hours of a full-time employee. The position is limited until 31.12.2020 (§ 14 para. 2 TzBfG).

With this project, the University of Kassel aims to create the conditions for opening up the university while maintaining academic standards. Students are to receive targeted support in developing their study skills, particularly in the first two semesters. In this context, the post holder will develop and implement appropriate offers for students.

Your tasks:

• Implementation of workshops in blended learning format with a focus on: Motives and motivation, learning strategies, time and self-management
• Coordination and implementation of a peer tutoring project (study guides) for students in the introductory phase of their studies
• Collaboration in internal and external project communication and reporting

Your requirements:

• Successfully completed academic university degree with a didactic focus
• Proven, successful experience in the independent development and implementation of training courses/workshops on the topics of motivation, learning strategies, time and self-management

An advantage:

• Knowledge and routine use of learning management systems, websites, common office programs and a high level of digital information literacy
• Strong communication and social skills
• Initiative and ability to work in a team
• High affinity for university structures and working methods

3. in the sub-project "German as a language of science (KoDeWis)":

Project team member (EG 13 TV-H), fixed-term, full-time (currently 40 hours per week).

The position is limited until 31.12.2020 (§ 14 para. 2 TzBfG).

With this project, the University aims to improve the academic skills of native speaker students in particular in all degree programs at the University of Kassel. In this context, the post holder should support students in improving their initial language level, contribute to an increase in their academic success and thus create favorable conditions for the openness of the university with regard to different entry requirements while maintaining academic standards.

As a propaedeutic offer, the focus has so far been on developing and providing a diagnostic tool to determine language proficiency levels as well as supporting workshops and advice on skills development. Now that the project has been running for almost seven years, the challenge for the final quarter of the project as a whole is to further develop the relevant services in line with the times. The aim is to move towards digitally transformed services and the provision of services.

In this context, the post holder will carry out the project's online language proficiency assessment, further anchor it in the university's degree programmes, further standardize the implementation process and, in particular, optimize the feedback of the results to the students.

Your tasks:

• Implementation, evaluation and further development of the online language proficiency assessment "KoDeWis"
• Training and support for student writing consultants
• To a small extent, pro rata implementation of language training and writing advice
• Assisting with internal and external project communication and reporting

Your requirements:

• Completed academic university degree with a focus on German studies and linguistics
• Proven skills in German as a scientific language
• Proven knowledge and routine use of learning management systems, websites, common office programs and a high level of digital information literacy

An advantage:

• In-depth interest in the topic of developing educational biography-related digital maturity
• Strong communication and social skills
• Initiative and ability to work in a team
• High affinity for university structures and working methods
