Research Assistant (m/f/d), EG 13 TV-H - in the Department of Control and Systems Theory

The position is initially limited to 2 years with the possibility of extension (qualification position according to § 65 HHG in conjunction with § 2 para. 1 sentence 1 WissZeitVG). The possibility of a doctorate is given.

Your tasks:

The objective of the position is to develop control and process management strategies for additive manufacturing. Based on the data analysis of existing manufacturing processes according to the principle of 3D printing, optimization-based methods are to be designed that can reliably adjust the target properties of the manufactured products. The research activities, which are located at the interface between control engineering, production engineering and materials science, also serve the academic further qualification through the doctorate. In addition, services in research and teaching in the field of control and systems theory are to be provided to an appropriate extent.

Your requirements:

• Completed scientific university degree in engineering with a focus on modeling, control and regulation of dynamic systems
• Willingness to familiarize yourself with the concepts of additive manufacturing
• Clearly above-average academic results
• Good knowledge of the English and German language
• Strong initiative and commitment
• Knowledge of Matlab/Simulink
• Experience in data-based modeling, materials science or additive manufacturing is an advantage
