Research Assistant (m/f/d), EG 13 TV-H - in the field of International Agricultural Policy and Environmental Governance

Part-time with half the regular working hours of a full-time employee. The position is initially limited to 3 years with the possibility of extension for a further 2 years (qualification position according to § 65 HHG in conjunction with § 2 para. 1 sentence 1 WissZeitVG). The possibility of a doctorate is given.

Tasks:

• Development of own and cooperative research in the field of institutional analysis of the European organic farming sector with the aim of a doctorate.
• Services in research and teaching (2 SWS per semester) in the field of international agricultural policy and environmental governance and in the further development of the content of the subject area

Prerequisites:

• University degree with very good to good grades in agricultural sciences, economics, political science, or similar.
• Fluent in English, team player and experience in independent research work
• Thorough and independent working methods

Advantageous are:

• Interest and, if possible, prior knowledge in institutional analysis and research on the European organic farming sector in the context of socio-ecological transformation.
• Good knowledge of agricultural, environmental or resource economics and European agricultural, environmental and organic farming sector policy
• Experience in acquiring third-party funding
• project experience
• Teaching experience
• Openness to and knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methods
