Research Assistant (m/f/d), EG 13 TV-H - at the Institute of Social Work

Part-time with two thirds of the regular working hours of a full-time employee. The position is initially limited to three years (qualification position according to § 65 HHG in conjunction with § 2 para. 1 sentence 1 WissZeitVG). The possibility of a doctorate is given.

Tasks:

• Independent research (doctorate)
• Teaching at the Institute of Social Work
• Support of research and acquisition of third-party funding of a post-doc with the research topic disability and assistance animals (Dr. Birkan Tas)

Requirements:

• Academic university degree (Master's or equivalent) in a relevant field (e.g. sociology, social sciences, social work, social anthropology, cultural studies) with at least good grades The required degree must be completed by the date of employment at the latest.
• Ability to work in a team and to conduct independent research under supervision
• Very good written and spoken English skills

Advantageous are:

• Theoretical knowledge in the field of human-animal studies, disability studies or queer studies
• Interest in the application of qualitative social science research methods
• A high degree of organizational skills
• Experience in interdisciplinary research
