"Are there still any stories about God today?" was one of the questions asked by pupils in our lesson study on conversations in religious education. The interdisciplinary and practical study day aims to address the central question of how God can be spoken about in religious education in a theologically and pedagogically responsible way in light of current social and theological developments.
Dogmatist Prof. Dr. Julia Knop (University of Erfurt) will address this question from a systematic theological perspective. Afterwards, the results of the Kassel teaching study on conversations in religious education will be presented, which will illustrate that and how God is actually spoken about in current religious education lessons, which questions are virulent for pupils and how religious education teachers can lead the conversation and exchange competently and methodically in a variety of ways.
In smaller groups, workshops will use teaching videos to discuss stumbling blocks, moderation techniques and learning opportunities, in which participants can also contribute and reflect on their own teaching experiences. In addition, the exchange between subject science and subject didactics as well as between students, trainee teachers and religious education teachers is experienced as mutually enriching.
The study day is accredited as an advanced training event for teachers.
