Skilled worker (EG 7 TV-H) - In the Construction, Technology and Real Estate Department

Tasks:

The job essentially involves the operational management and maintenance (inspection, servicing, repair and improvement) of the refrigeration and air conditioning systems at the University of Kassel. This covers a wide range of refrigeration (cooling capacity from approx. 1 kW to approx. 600 kW) and air conditioning systems. This also includes the existing recooling plants and the cold water distribution networks. In addition to operational management and maintenance and the associated documentation, the required activities also include participation in the management of the extensive plant inventory. The same applies to participation and support in the outsourcing of services in the field of maintenance of refrigeration systems and for the initiation and / or implementation or support of the necessary expert and expert inspections including the associated documentation.

The area of responsibility also includes involvement in the maintenance and operational management of the compressed air supply systems and in the area of combustion engines (e.g. emergency power systems and combined heat and power plant)

Requirements:

Completed vocational training as a mechatronics technician for refrigeration technology or electronics technician for industrial engineering or a related profession with appropriate and proven further qualification in the field of refrigeration technology. Further training as a qualified electrician for specified activities (unless vocational training as a qualified electrician has been completed or this knowledge was acquired as part of the training).

In-depth knowledge in the field of refrigeration and distribution. Knowledge in all areas of technical building equipment, in particular also in the area of ventilation systems, chilled water systems and recooling plants. Knowledge of the principles, structure and mode of operation of control systems, controllers and control circuits in technical building equipment.

Experience in dealing with the BetriebssicherheitsVO, the ChemklimaschutzV, the Wasserhaushaltsgesetz and the legal and technical regulations and specifications for the field of refrigeration technology as well as ventilation and air conditioning technology (e.g. VDI 6022, VDI 2047) including the corresponding detailed knowledge.

Knowledge of common software systems (Office etc.) and ideally knowledge of the SAP PM module.

Driving license class B is mandatory. Motivation, commitment and a high level of service are just as important as a high level of resilience and a broad range of technical knowledge. The same applies to the willingness to undergo continuous further training. The ability to work alone and appropriate physical resilience are required.

The willingness to participate in the general on-call duty of the University of Kassel is a prerequisite, as is the possible participation in future shift work.

The work assignment for the position holder should generally take place at the Holländischer Platz location of the University of Kassel, although the work assignment may also take place at other university locations depending on operational requirements.

Advantageous are:

Knowledge in the field of compressed air supply and in the field of combustion engines/cogeneration units.
