Skilled worker (m/f/d) EG 7 TV-H - in the technology and infrastructure group, refrigeration workshop, compressed air supply and combustion engines

Tasks:

The job essentially involves the operational management and maintenance (inspection, servicing, repair and improvement) of the refrigeration and ventilation systems at the University of Kassel. This involves a very wide range of refrigeration and ventilation systems. In addition to operational management and maintenance, the required activities also include participation in the initiation and / or implementation or support of the necessary expert and expert inspections, including the associated documentation.

The area of responsibility also includes involvement in the maintenance and operational management of compressed air supply systems and in the area of combustion engines (e.g. emergency power systems and combined heat and power plants).

Requirements:

• Completed vocational training as a mechatronics technician for refrigeration technology or electronics technician for industrial engineering with extended knowledge in the field of refrigeration technology, possibly also with training in related professions such as plant mechanic for sanitary, heating and air conditioning technology
• In-depth knowledge in the areas of refrigeration, refrigeration distribution and the associated recooling plants
• Good knowledge of the structure and operation of ventilation and air conditioning systems
• Knowledge of I&C technology and building automation
• Driving license class B
• Motivation, commitment and a high level of service
• A broad range of technical knowledge
• Willingness to undergo continuous training and further education
• Willingness to participate in the general on-call duty of the University of Kassel and to participate in possible shift work

An advantage are

• Further training as a qualified electrician for defined activities (if no vocational training as an electrician has been completed or corresponding knowledge has been acquired as part of the training)

• Proven additional qualifications in the field of ventilation technology (e.g. VDI 6022 Part B), the operation of recooling plants (VDI 2047) and I&C technology / building automation
• Experience in the maintenance of complex systems in the field of refrigeration technology and ventilation technology
• Knowledge in the area of compressed air supply and in the area of combustion engines/cogeneration units
• Experience in dealing with the Operational Safety Ordinance, the Chemical Climate Protection Ordinance, the Water Resources Act and the legal and technical regulations and specifications for the field of refrigeration technology
• Knowledge of common software systems (Office etc.)

The job holder will generally work at the Holländischer Platz site of the University of Kassel, although work may also be carried out at other university sites depending on operational requirements.
