Research Assistant (m/f/d), EG 13 TV-H - in the Department of English Linguistics

Part-time with half the regular working hours of a full-time employee. The position is initially limited for 3 years with the possibility of extension for a further 2 years (qualification position according to § 2 para. 1 sentence 1 WissZeitVG). The possibility of a doctorate is given.

Tasks:

• Scientific collaboration in research and teaching in the core areas of cognitive science linguistics
• Independent work on a research sub-area in experimental linguistics with a focus on interface phenomena, for example in the areas of semantics and mental lexicon or second language acquisition

Prerequisites:

• University degree in General or English Linguistics completed with good to very good results. The required degree must be available by the date of recruitment at the latest. A good command of English is required.

Knowledge of

• in formal approaches to grammatical theory or the semantics-pragmatics interface
• the history of the English language
• in another foreign language
