W 3 - Professorship for Physical Chemistry of Nanomaterials (m/f/d)

Job profile:
The call is aimed at internationally outstanding scientists at the forefront of today's physical chemistry. Scientists who combine the fabrication or modification of innovative nanostructured materials with the development or use of new instrumental physical techniques for their characterization are particularly welcome.

The potential candidate should strengthen the focus of the Institute of Chemistry through the fabrication/modification of nanoscale materials and/or through the development or use of previously unavailable experimental characterization techniques.

The department should take a leading role in one of the thematic fields of the CINSaT (Center for Interdisciplinary Nanostructure Science and Technology) - biosensorics, electron dynamics of chiral structures, photonics, three-dimensional nanostructures - and participate in the corresponding joint initiatives of the department.

A high level of commitment to teaching, evidence of successful acquisition of competitive third-party funding, lively publication activity in international journals and international research experience are prerequisites. The subject of Physical Chemistry is to be represented in its entire breadth in the Bachelor's and Master's degree courses in Nanostructure Sciences as well as in the teacher training courses in Chemistry and participates in the service tasks in other degree courses.

For this professorship, participation in the academic self-administration of the university is part of the official duties.

Requirements profile:
The recruitment requirements and performance requirements according to §§ 61, 62 of the Hessian Higher Education Act apply.

In particular, aptitude for academic work, as a rule demonstrated by a habilitation or habilitation-equivalent achievements as well as pedagogical aptitude, are required.
