Lecture: Is Open Science the better science?

The demand for more openness in science is growing, especially in times of fake news and doubts about scientific findings. But science itself is also facing internal problems such as the reproduction crisis, data loss or incorrect research results. The lecture will discuss the extent to which open science can be an answer to the "crisis of science". To this end, the "crisis" will first be presented and then Open Science will be explained. The aspects of Open Methodology, Open Access, Open Data and Open Sources will be discussed. At the end, it will be discussed whether open science is better science and what this means for research contexts.
