Research Assistant (EG 13 TV-H) - in the Department of Control and Systems Theory

The position is initially limited to 3 years with the possibility of extension by 2 years (qualification position according to § 65 HHG in conjunction with § 2 para. 1 sentence 1 WissZeitVG). The possibility of a doctorate is given.

Your tasks:

As part of the research activities, methods for the control of autonomous adaptive systems are to be developed with special consideration of artificial intelligence methods. This task includes the investigation of theoretical principles, algorithmic implementation and numerical validation of the control success for applications.

In addition, research and teaching services in the field of control and systems theory are to be provided to an appropriate extent.

Your requirements:

• Very good academic university degree with a Master's degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics or a comparable degree program
• In-depth prior knowledge of control theory and the modeling and analysis of dynamic systems
• Previous knowledge in the field of mathematical optimization is advantageous
• Experience in programming with Matlab/Simulink
• Good knowledge of English and German
• Above-average initiative and commitment
