Guest at the Rectorate #28

Exhibition by Philip Weyer.

As part of his exhibition, Philip Weyer is showing exhibits that interact with users and nature in various ways. It is a selection of his works that form a functional alternative to conventional, non-sustainable products, provoke user interaction or are to be understood as a protest.

Philip Weyer studies product design and focuses on sustainable developments and solutions in the field of design. In his work, he incorporates traditional craftsmanship, modern production methods and decentralized production into the design process. With his designs, Weyer wants to build bridges between people and their behavior towards products and nature. For him, longevity and value in product development are inseparable.

The exhibition format "Visiting the Rectorate" was initiated in spring 2012. With two exhibitions per semester, the Rectorate of the Kunsthochschule Kassel offers students, graduates and lecturers an extraordinary presentation space for their work.
