Research assistant (m/f/d), EG 13 TV-H - in the field of ecological plant protection

With half the regular working hours of a full-time employee. The position is initially limited until 31.03.2020 as part of the BMBF project "Innovative solutions for the optimization of genetic diversity for sustainable cultivation systems of the future"(§ 2 para. 2 WissZeitVG). In the context of a follow-up application, the possibility of a doctorate would be given.

Tasks:

• Scientific collaboration in the above-mentioned project
• Independent execution of field and laboratory studies on the development and adaptation of genetically diverse wheat populations and on the occurrence of soil-borne and foliar diseases in cereal cropping systems.
• Collaboration in the preparation of the final report and scientific publications

Prerequisites:

• Scientific university degree in agriculture (MSc/Diploma) completed with good to very good results;
• Experience in agroecological field work;
• practical (horticultural or agricultural) knowledge of diversity and participatory research processes.
• Good statistical and IT skills,
• Ability to work in a team,
• Good written and spoken English.
• Driving license B

Advantageous are:

• Experience in creating project reports
• Thorough and independent way of working
• A high degree of organizational skills

• Experience in dealing with students and staff
