Do you organize workshops, conferences and other events at the university? Join our "Sustainable event organization" network!

The Sustain Group is all about sustainable event management. Our diverse network looks at the topic from different angles. For example, we have already developed a checklist for sustainable catering. We are currently preparing a framework agreement for sustainable catering with the central materials management department, which is due to be launched at the start of 2025. Another project is the creation of guidelines for sustainable event organization at the University of Kassel. In preparation for this, a training course on sustainable event management was organized for secretariats. Another idea we are currently working on is the establishment of a university-wide lending service for event equipment. To this end, we are planning a cooperation with Allerleih e.V. We cordially invite you to develop these ideas further with us.
