Research Assistant (m/f/d) (EG 13 TV-H) - in the field of Heterogeneous Materials

Part-time with half the regular working hours of a full-time employee. The position is initially limited to 16.5 months (qualification position according to § 65 HHG in conjunction with § 2 para. 1 sentence 1 WissZeitVG). The possibility of a doctorate is given.

Tasks:

The scope of duties includes independent research activities in the field of analytics of heterogeneous polymer materials, especially with regard to durability as well as the further development of methodological competence of these in an innovative, team-oriented working environment.

Requirements:

You have a completed scientific university degree in mechanical engineering or industrial engineering specializing in materials technology/mechanical engineering and are characterized by knowledge in the processing and characterization of filled or fiber-reinforced polymer materials.

This is an advantage:

• You are familiar with cyclic-dynamic, mechanical and thermal testing methods for plastics as well as imaging methods and their evaluation, in particular computer tomography
• Thorough and independent way of working
• High degree of self-learning ability and willingness
• Fluency in written and spoken English
