Research assistant (m/f/d), EG 13 TV-H - in the field of agricultural and food marketing

The position is initially limited to 3 years with the possibility of extension for a further 3 years (qualification position according to § 65 HHG in conjunction with § 2 para. 1 sentence 2 WissZeitVG). The possibility of habilitation is given.

Tasks:

• Scientific collaboration in research and teaching in the field of agricultural and food marketing
• Independent work on a research sub-area in agricultural and food marketing/consumer research on food waste and special quality requirements for food.

Prerequisites:

• University degree in agricultural economics or social sciences with very good to good grades.
• A doctorate in the field of social research and food waste completed with very good to good results. The required doctorate must be available by the recruitment date at the latest.

Advantageous are:

• Knowledge and experience in the application of qualitative and quantitative methods of empirical social research and the corresponding software
• Knowledge of mixed-methods research
• Knowledge and experience in research on consumer attitudes and behavior regarding food waste and external product quality
• Experience in project acquisition and implementation
• Experience in teaching, including the supervision of student work, especially in the field of agricultural and food marketing
• Very good written and spoken German and English language skills
• Ability to quickly analyze complex economic issues
• Ability to present facts to different target groups in writing and orally
