Research Assistant (EG 13 TV-H) - in the Department of Macromolecular Chemistry and Molecular Materials

The position is initially limited to 6 months with the possibility of extension (qualification position according to § 65 HHG in conjunction with § 2 para. 1 sentence 2 WissZeitVG).

Tasks:

• Supervision of courses in the degree programs Nanostructure Sciences and Chemistry (teaching degree).
• Research on polymer-stabilized liquid crystals and organic/inorganic liquid crystal hybrids
• Assumption of administrative tasks within the management group of the department

Prerequisites:

• Academic university degree (Master's or Diploma) in nanostructure science, chemistry or a comparable course of study, completed with at least good grades
• very good knowledge of physical chemistry, chemistry and / or nanostructure sciences
• Completed doctorate in one of the fields of organic-inorganic composites, liquid crystals, organic photonics or self-organization
• Very good knowledge of English and interest in interdisciplinary issues

Advantageous are:

• Previous knowledge of liquid crystals, inorganic organic hybrid materials, microscopy
• Thorough and independent working methods
• Experience in supervising students
• a high degree of organizational skills
