INCHER Research Colloquium: Cultural Change? Contradictory prerequisites for researching and shaping science communication

Which sciences have been involved in the study of science communication so far, and on what basis is scientific evidence used to inform the practice of this communication? My talk considers the disciplinary path dependencies that shape our knowledge of science communication and reward its use. It also asks what the currently popular talk of cultural change in science communication is about, and what role cultural studies might play in both researching and shaping science communication.
