W 1 qualification professorship (m/f/d) with development commitment for "Educational Science with a focus on inclusion and school development"

In accordance with Section 64 (3) of the Hessian Higher Education Act (Hessisches Hochschulgesetz) for a fixed term of six years. After a positive tenure evaluation, a permanent W 2 professorship will be awarded.

This tenure-track professorship is funded by the federal-state program for the promotion of young academics.

The professorship is intended to represent topics of school development with special consideration of inclusion pedagogical issues in research and teaching. The focus of the research will be on the design of school change processes at the various levels of the education system in the context of the implementation of inclusive education, with a focus on educational science. The professorship will primarily take on teaching duties in the educational and social science core studies of the teacher training courses (elementary school, Hauptschule and Realschule, Gymnasium, vocational and business education) in the basic and specialization module "Shaping and developing schools and educational institutions". The future post holder should have didactic skills and teaching experience and be able to demonstrate academic publications in the subject area of the vacancy. Experience in acquiring third-party funding is desirable.

The position holder should support the cross-sectional model of inclusive teacher education currently being implemented at the University of Kassel within the educational and social science core curriculum in cooperation with the subject didactics. He/she is expected to participate in the tasks of academic self-administration and to acquire externally funded research projects. Involvement in the further development of the Institute of Educational Science's funding diagnostic workshop and involvement in research networks at the University of Kassel (e.g. ZELL and FoSS) are desirable. With this professorship, the University of Kassel aims to strengthen its quantitative and qualitative focus on "Empirical Educational Research".
