Research assistant (EG 13 TV-H) - in the field of technical mechanics/continuum mechanics

The position is initially limited for 3 years with the possibility of extension for a further 2 years (qualification position according to § 65 HHG in conjunction with § 2 para. 1 sentence 1 WissZeitVG). The possibility of a doctorate is given.

The research activities of the professorship are in the fields of micromechanical and phenomenological material modeling, coupled field problems, fracture and damage mechanics and numerical simulation of material and component behavior. The research focuses on classic metallic and ceramic structural materials as well as modern composite materials and intelligent, multifunctional material systems in adaptronics and microsystems technology

Tasks:

The area of responsibility includes the independent and autonomous processing of a research project in the field of solid mechanics as well as the support of teaching in the subject area.

Requirements:

Completed scientific university degree in the field of mechanical engineering. Very good knowledge of engineering mechanics, in particular continuum mechanics and coupled thermoelectromechanical multi-field problems. Experience in the modeling of ferroelectrics is expected.
