Research Associate (m/f/d), EG 13 TV-H - at the Center for Environmental Systems Research

The position is limited to the planned duration of the research project of 4 years (§ 2 Abs. 2 WissZeitVG). The possibility of a doctorate is given.

In the InRess project, the dialog-oriented transfer as science-practice interaction is implemented and its impact analyzed with the development, establishment and implementation of two regional innovation networks in the field of resource efficiency. The sustainable use of resources is one of the most urgent social fields of action, which the University of Kassel has been investigating and scientifically supporting for many years. The aim of the network's internal dialog is to develop innovative system solutions and implement joint projects in partnership.

The Resource-Efficient Building Network, under the scientific direction of Prof. Dr. Stefan Bringezu, is concerned with the development of evaluation and planning instruments for resource-efficient building with a focus on the selective demolition of buildings and the use of recycled materials through urban mining.

Tasks:

• Analysis and documentation of the potential for cooperation and transfer with regional stakeholders to promote the sustainable use of resources in the construction sector
• Integration of regional practice partners, in particular companies in the construction industry and local authorities, into the resource-efficient construction network
• Implementation of regular network meetings and idea workshops to create an intensive dialog between science and practice
• Development of a knowledge management system for resource-efficient construction
• Development of transfer initiatives and projects to accelerate the development of innovative products and services
• Supporting the monitoring and impact analysis of the project
• Project administration and management as well as preparation of publications and reports

Requirements:

• University degree with good to very good grades in engineering in the construction or environmental sector
• Relevant professional experience in civil engineering, sustainability assessment and network management
• Structured, independent way of working with strong analytical skills
• High level of commitment and enjoy working with external and university partners
• Strong communication skills, organizational talent and experience in managing third-party funded projects
• Experience in communication and public relations is desirable
