Research assistant (m/f/d) EG 13 TV-H - in the field of organic farming and crop production

Part-time with half the regular working hours of a corresponding full-time employee. The position is initially limited to one year (§ 2 para. 1 WissZeitVG).

Tasks:

• Conception of field trials on the topic of "Establishment of perennial field forage cultivation via the "wide range"
• Collaboration on publications on the topic of "Organic farming and water protection"
• Collaboration in the implementation of a trial on substrate suitability for the vicinity of laying hen houses
• Conducting courses in the field of sustainability assessment and organic crop production
• Assisting with teaching events on the domain (field days)
• Supervision of student projects and theses
• Taking on organizational tasks (e.g. preparation, follow-up and implementation of field days)
• Collaboration on project reports and the project & experimental field guide

Requirements and expectations of the applicant:

• Completed scientific university degree (MS in agricultural sciences, preferably with a focus on organic farming
• Very good knowledge of organic farming, especially in the field of organic crop production and the topics of nitrogen management and nitrogen leaching
• Good knowledge of the nutrient problems in outdoor stables
• Good knowledge in the evaluation of agricultural experiments
• Experience in designing scientific posters and writing research reports
• Driving license B

• Ability to work in a team and willingness to work in an interdisciplinary environment
  

Teaching experience is an advantage:

• Teaching experience
• Good knowledge of the English language

The work locations are Frankenhausen and Witzenhausen.
