Research Assistant (EG 13 TV-H) - in the Department of Technical Thermodynamics

The position is initially limited until 30.09.2020 as part of the project "Smart Hotel Supply - Energy management in hotel operations depending on dynamic hotel occupancy, for an economical and efficient energy supply and use" (§ 2 para. 1 WissZeitVG). The possibility of a doctorate is given.

Tasks

• Technical project planning and measurement conception
• Coordination of holistic measurements of energy flows of complex thermodynamic processes (installation, monitoring and evaluation)
• Carrying out dynamic experimental studies on heat and mass transfer
• Preparation of extensive analyses and literature studies
• Contributing to the development of new concepts to increase the dynamic energy saving potential, taking transport processes into account
• Model development for the transferability of project results
• Supervision of project and final theses
• Supervision of assistants and interns

Requirements

• Completed scientific university degree in mechanical engineering with a specialization in energy and process engineering
• Very good knowledge of research methods and analysis procedures in the field of thermodynamics and heat transfer
• Very good knowledge of carrying out and evaluating experimental work
• Extensive experience in the use of measurement technology
• Very good knowledge of programming to create energy models
• Very good knowledge of English
