Kassel professors as experts in the Bundestag Foreign Affairs Committee

Prof. Dr. Aram Ziai was invited as an expert to the Bundestag's Committee on Foreign Affairs on Monday. This week, the committee dealt with the topic "Effects of colonialism and the German colonial past on international relations and current German foreign policy".

Aram Ziai is Head of the Department of Development Policy and Postcolonial Studies at the University of Kassel and gave his opinion at the hearing on the topic of financial transfers between the global North and the global South. In addition to Ziai, the former head of the Department of Modern and Contemporary History, Prof. Dr. Winfried Speitkamp, was also invited as an expert.
