The Romanesque Quartet discusses in the Palais Bellevue salon: Onur Edur "School of Life"

The book by cultural scientist Onur Erdur has inspired the reviewers: Erdur starts from the fact that some of the most important French thinkers of "French Theory" (Bourdieu, Lyotard, Foucault, Barthes and others) had close biographical connections with Algeria. The search for answers to the question of the influence of these connections not only leads Erdur to interesting individual insights. Rather, he shows how necessary it is to follow the traces of colonial experiences and backgrounds, especially in the field of the history of ideas. The question of the extent to which the book contributes to a new understanding of "French Theory" will be discussed in the salon of the Palais Bellevue by the Romance Quartet (professors from the University of Kassel: Agnieszka Komorowska, Christine Pflüger, Jörg Requate, Sabine Ruß-Sattar).
