Dealing with the coronavirus

Information for students and employees who are going abroad

We recommend that you consult the pages of the Federal Foreign Office and the website of your host institution for further information:
https://www.auswaertiges-amt.de/de/ReiseUndSicherheit/covid-19/2296762
Employees should regularly inform themselves about the university's guidelines on business trips.

This has to be checked in each individual case. Unfortunately, it is not possible to give a generally valid answer here. However, we will try to provide you with the best possible support and to find a satisfactory solution together with the departments, partner institutions and scholarship providers.

No, if you prematurely terminate your stay abroad due to SARS CoV 2 or do not start at all, costs incurred and already paid are reimbursable as "force majeure", but only up to the amount of the scholarship amount granted to you. In this case, please keep all receipts.

In principle, the existing time limits continue to apply. We would ask you to adhere to them as far as possible. We will grant you an extension of the deadline if possible. In this case, please contact us directly: international-office[at]uni-kassel[dot]de

In this case, we will request a written statement after the end of the semester abroad, in which we ask you to describe your situation. As a rule, there is no risk of having to reclaim the scholarship.
