Statement on events surrounding the election of the women's representative in FB07

Since January 15, an email from a lecturer has been circulating within the Department of Economics at the University of Kassel on the subject of the election of the department's Women's Representative by the Women's General Assembly. It has led to discussion and outrage as well as media coverage. The university management takes a stand.

The Executive Committee believes that the form of communication, choice of words, and method of dissemination via an extensive internal university distribution list were inappropriate and constitute an error.
