The Center for Teacher Education mourns the death of Reinhard Nolle

Dr. Reinhard Nolle has introduced and trained entire generations of students of teaching and social work in action-oriented media work. His training courses for teachers and social workers in the region and far beyond, even as far as Zimbabwe, have left lasting traces. We are deeply saddened to say goodbye.

Especially in these days we miss him and his contributions painfully. At the center of his work was an active media work, which was linked to everyday life­and the experiences of students and aimed at a joint media­production. His work for the peaceful coexistence of different nations and cultural groups had special pedagogical and political significance. It was important to him to stand up for mutual understanding and tolerance among each other and to promote such an attitude.

For his work, Dr. Reinhard Nolle was awarded the Georg Forster Prize of the University of Kassel as well as the Hessian Teaching Prize for Excellence in Teaching of the Hessian Ministry of Science and Art.
