Welcome to the University of Kassel Prof. Dr. Susanne Ritzmann

As of January 2023, Dr. Susanne Ritzmann has taken on a professorship for Sustainable Product Design and Development. She studied design and is a design researcher. She completed her doctorate at the Berlin University of the Arts on the design didactics of sustainability and conducted research between 2012 and 2020 at the Design Research Lab of the University of the Arts and the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence, among others. Most recently, she was a scientific advisor in the field of education and science and managed research funding programs of the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research. In Kassel, she is part of the Kassel Institute for Sustainability and brings a design perspective on sustainability to the transdisciplinary work there. In addition, she would like to advance the relevance of design research and sustainability in the product design program at the Kunsthochschule.
