Research assistant for the management of the Research Institute and Testing Center for Environmental Engineering and Hydraulic Engineering (VPUW) (EG 14 TV-H) - Department of Hydraulic Engineering and Water Management

Tasks:

a) Scientific/technical management of the central experimental station and testing facility for environmental technology and hydraulic engineering in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, including organization and scientific implementation of laboratory work; procurement of equipment and devices; coordination of the use of the hydraulic engineering hall and the adjoining rooms; support of the users of the hydraulic engineering hall in the preparation of scientific concepts and the implementation of experiments and field tests or field measurements

b) Managing the test center for testing flow meters at wastewater treatment plants and for other hydrometric tests

c) Teaching courses in hydromechanics and hydraulics as well as hydraulic engineering testing; this also includes laboratory and field practicals; participation in other courses as well as the supervision of experimentally oriented project and final theses

Prerequisites:

Completed scientific university degree in civil engineering/environmental engineering with a focus on hydraulic engineering/hydraulic engineering/water management. Completed doctorate. Very good scientific knowledge of hydromechanics and hydraulics; extensive experience in hydraulic engineering testing and in-depth knowledge of hydrometric measurement technology and the acquisition and analysis of measurement data; extensive teaching experience, didactic skills, experience in personnel management, participation in research projects to maintain the link between science and practice; professional experience outside the university is also desirable.
