Lecture series against right-wing extremism 2021/22:
Right-wing extremist politics in transition between parties and social movements. International perspectives

In memory of the racist murder of Halit Yozgat, which was committed by the right-wing extremist NSU in 2006 not far from the Holländischer Platz campus, the lecture series against right-wing extremism has been held annually at the University of Kassel since 2012 with changing topics. Last winter semester, the lecture focused on the topics of conspiracy ideologies and anti-Semitism in times of the coronavirus pandemic under the title "recht extrem? Knowledge, opinion and belief in times of crisis", in the coming winter semester 2021/22 we would like to focus on the continued strengthening of right-wing structures in the field of political parties and social movements. In addition to the situation in Germany, we will also focus on developments in other countries.
On 29 November 2021, Dr. Maximilian Pichl will give a lecture on "The European Border Regime and the Authoritarian Right".
