Eco Action Days North Hesse: Kick-off event
For twelve days, visitors to North Hesse can experience first-hand how organic farming works. Organic farms and other institutions open their doors at the 1st Organic Action Days North Hesse - the University of Kassel is also taking part with its Department of Organic Agricultural Sciences.
The aim of the action days is to provide information about organic farming and to generate enthusiasm for organic and regionally produced products. Not only farmers are invited, but also anyone who likes to eat healthily and consciously. The organizers are expecting around 600 visitors.
Prof. Dr. Jürgen Heß, scientific director of the Domäne Frankenhausen experimental farm, will open the program on 15 June at 6 p.m. together with District Administrator Uwe Schmidt (Kassel district) and Dr. Rainer Wallmann (First Alderman of the Werra-Meißner district) at the Domäne. Afterwards, excerpts from the 1996 award-winning documentary film "Land am Rand" will be shown in the "Alter Kuhstall". Director Götz Penner and some of the people involved in the film at the time will be guests.
