Research Assistant (EG 13 TV-H) - in the Department of Technical Thermodynamics

The position is initially limited for 3 years with the possibility of extension for a further 2 years (qualification position according to § 65 HHG in conjunction with § 2 para. 1 sentence 1 WissZeitVG). The possibility of a doctorate is given.

Tasks:

• Services in research and teaching in the field of technical thermodynamics
• In teaching: Supervision of group exercises and tutorials in the basic lectures on technical thermodynamics as well as the in-depth courses in the field of thermodynamics and the application of refrigeration technology for students of mechanical engineering. Supervision of student work in the field of heat and mass transfer with phase change and the influence of thermodynamic material data
• Research: Conducting experimental investigations and supervision of a laboratory for research into mechanisms in heat and mass transfer with and without phase change and the influence of thermodynamic material data as well as interface and surface effects on thermodynamic processes

Prerequisites:

• Completed scientific university degree in mechanical engineering with a specialization in energy and process engineering
• Very good knowledge of research methods and analytical procedures in the field of multiphase heat and mass transfer
• Teaching experience
• Experience in the installation and commissioning of equipment on a pilot plant scale for the low-pressure range as well as modern measurement methods for temperature, pressure and interfacial tension measurement in transient processes
• Very good knowledge of English
