Technical Assistant (EG 9 TV-H) - in the Department of Technical Physics

Full-time, initially limited until 31.05.2019 as part of the F&E project "Quantum Dot Laser" (§ 14 para. 1 sentence 2 no. 1 TzBfG).

Tasks:

• Development and independent implementation of structuring processes for the production of semiconductor nanostructures and optoelectronic components
• Handling of electron beam and optical lithography, wet/dry chemical etching processes and characterization processes, such as atomic force and scanning electron microscopy, as well as device characterization with electro-optical measurement setups
• Support, operation and maintenance of large-scale equipment

Requirements:

• Completed training as a CTA or PTA
• High level of commitment in a demanding, technologically oriented scientific environment
• Ability to independently organize the assigned tasks
• Responsible handling of particularly valuable substrates and hazardous substances
• Ability to follow work instructions (also in English) from the original scientific literature
• good knowledge of English
• advanced PC skills
