Group Leader Real Estate Management (up to EG 14 TV-H) - Department of Construction, Technology and Real Estate

Tasks:

You will have personnel, technical and organizational responsibility for the economic results of all real estate at the University of Kassel. This includes space requirements planning, the development of location concepts and space optimization as well as strategic building maintenance, building budget planning and controlling.

You will support the Presidential Board and the department management in the further development and implementation of an efficient and sustainable real estate strategy oriented to the needs of science and academia and will be responsible for its implementation.

In addition, you will be responsible for the planning and supervision of new buildings, conversions and renovations as well as the awarding of contracts to external architectural and engineering firms. You will also take on the project management of renovation and conversion measures and coordinate measures for the quality management of construction services.

Requirements:

You have successfully completed an academic university degree (architecture, civil engineering or other relevant degree program) or have equivalent skills and experience. You can demonstrate extensive knowledge in project management including IT-based control as well as several years of experience in the development and implementation of spatial concepts and resource management. You are familiar with facility management tasks. In addition, you should already have several years of personnel management experience or be able to demonstrate your leadership potential.

For a successful performance of this management task it is necessary that you have the ability to transfer requirements of science in research and teaching into demand-oriented and efficient spatial utilization concepts. You possess very well-developed analytical thinking and judgment skills. Solution orientation as well as assertiveness and persuasiveness are also among your strengths. Strong communication skills, the ability to cooperate and a confident and engaging manner round off your profile.
