Group Manager Real Estate Management (up to EG 14 TV-H) - Department of Construction, Technology and Real Estate

Tasks:

You will be responsible for the personnel, technical and organizational aspects of the economic performance of all properties at the University of Kassel. This includes space requirements planning, the development of location concepts and space optimization as well as strategic building maintenance, building budget planning and controlling.

You will support the Executive Board and department management in the further development and implementation of an efficient and sustainable real estate strategy geared towards the needs of science and are responsible for its implementation.

You will also be responsible for the planning and supervision of new buildings, conversions and renovations as well as the awarding of contracts to external architectural and engineering firms. You will also be responsible for the project management of refurbishment and conversion measures and the coordination of measures for the quality management of construction services.

Requirements:

You have successfully completed an academic university degree (architecture, civil engineering or another relevant course of study) or have equivalent skills and experience. You have extensive knowledge of project management, including IT-based control, as well as several years of experience in the development and implementation of spatial concepts and resource management. You are familiar with the tasks of facility management. In addition, you should already have several years of personnel management experience or be able to demonstrate your leadership potential.

To be successful in this management role, you must have the ability to translate scientific requirements in research and teaching into needs-oriented and efficient spatial utilization concepts. You have very well-developed analytical thinking and judgment skills. Solution orientation, assertiveness and persuasiveness are also among your strengths. Strong communication skills, the ability to cooperate and a confident and engaging manner round off your profile.
