Library employee (EG 9 TV-H) - In the University Library - Regional Library and Murhard Library of the City of Kassel

The employment is to replace an employee during maternity leave and is initially limited until 27.12.2018 (§§ 40 No. 8, 30 TV-H in conjunction with § 21 BEEG). An extension for the duration of a planned parental leave is sought.

Tasks:

• Integrated media processing (acquisition and cataloging) of monographs and non-book materials.
• Collaboration at the service desk of the campus library (library information and advice).

Requirements:

• completed university degree in librarianship or bachelor's degree in library and information science
• good knowledge in the field of acquisition and cataloging
• good knowledge in the use of library application software, especially the PICA modules
• good knowledge of rules and regulations (RDA, RAK-WB)
• Knowledge of bibliographic and other reference tools in electronic and conventional form;
• knowledge of research possibilities in catalogs and bibliographic databases
• Willingness to participate in late-night and weekend duties.
