Research Associate (EG 13 TV-H) - Department of Industrial and Organizational Psychology

The position is initially limited for 3 years with the possibility of extension for another 2 years (qualification position according to § 65 HHG in conjunction with § 2 para. 1 sentence 1 WissZeitVG). The possibility of doctoral studies is given.

Tasks:

• Collaboration in an occupational science project for the development of innovative solutions or support systems based on risk considerations in the dismantling of nuclear facilities.
• Minimization of technical and human risk contributions in planning and execution processes
• Development of small applications in the context of safety scanning
• Use and further development of virtual space with regard to team communication and remote services
• Recording and evaluation of mental stress and strain in the work context of digital media with regard to team and leadership behavior
• Scientific collection and evaluation of biometric data with the measurement technology cEYEberman for the analysis of body and eye movements
• statistical evaluation/documentation of the results
• support of internal communication and project responsibility
• support of the department in the field of teaching and research
• acquisition of third party funding projects and/or establishment/expansion of a network with operational cooperation partners
• Support of internal communication and project responsibility

Requirements:

• with very good results completed scientific university studies in psychology with focus on cognition and work psychology
• very good knowledge in the fields of human information processing, system ergonomics as well as work and activity design in the context of mental and physical stress and strain
• experience with the application of biometric and psychophysiological measurement methods
• very good statistical and programming skills (R, Python, Java/C++ or equivalent)
• practical experience in conducting analyses in industrial companies

Advantageous are

• very good knowledge of English
• knowledge of human-machine systems and assistance systems
• independent, interdisciplinary work; social competence, ability to work in a team, creativity and independent problem-solving skills
• a high degree of independence, exact, solution- and result-oriented way of working
• very good experience with SPSS, Matlab and R
