Research Assistant (EG 13 TV-H) - Department of General Psychology

Part-time with 3/4 of the regular working hours of a full-time employee. The position is initially limited for 3 years with the possibility of extension for a further 2 years (qualification position according to § 65 HHG in conjunction with § 2 para. 1 sentence 1 WissZeitVG). The possibility of a doctorate is given.

Tasks

• Academic collaboration in research and teaching in the field of general psychology including research methods
• Course coordination in the Bachelor's/Master's degree program in Psychology
• Supporting the Institute Director and the Psychology Examination Board
• Academic advising in the Bachelor's and Master's degree programs in Psychology
• Teaching 3 SWS mainly in the area of methods, in particular statistical software (R, SPSS)

Prerequisites:

• Academic university degree in Psychology (or related subjects) with at least a good grade
• very good knowledge of statistical software (R, SPSS)
• knowledge of English (B2)

Advantageous are:

• Organizational talent and a high level of communication skills, proven by relevant experience
• Thorough and independent way of working
• Research experience in the area of the professorship's research focus (e.g. memory psychology, language psychology, learning with multimedia, desirable difficulties in learning)
• Experience in planning and conducting experiments, ideally prior knowledge in the field of eye-tracking
