Research Assistant (EG 13 TV-H) - Department of Theoretical Computer Science/Formal Methods

To replace an employee during the maternity protection period, initially limited until 26.02.2019 in accordance with § 40 No. 8 to § 30 TV-H in conjunction with § 21 BEEG. Extension for a possible subsequent parental leave is planned.

Tasks:

In research, you will show interest in the research activities of the department (logic in computer science, formal methods, program verification, synthesis, etc.), work independently and in a team on the research goals of the department and also contribute your own new ideas. You will participate in the supervision of Bachelor's and Master's theses in the department. The dissertation topic should be in the area of formal methods related to the specification, verification and synthesis of correct systems. 4 SWS - teaching commitment.

Prerequisites:

• Completed scientific university degree in computer science, mathematics or comparable fields
• good knowledge of theoretical computer science, preferably with in-depth knowledge in an area that meaningfully complements the expertise already available in the subject area
• Fluent written and spoken German and a good command of English
