Research assistant (EG 13 TV-H) - in the field of technical building equipment

Part-time with 75.00 percent of the regular working time of a full-time employee. The position is initially limited for 3 years with the possibility of extension for another 2 years (qualification position according to § 65 HHG in connection with § 2 Abs. 1 Satz 1 WissZeitVG). The possibility of a doctorate is given.

The Department of Technical Building Equipment works on interdisciplinary topics of energy-efficient and sustainable building. Research focuses on energy-efficient systems engineering, demand-responsive ventilation and energy-efficient building concepts. The department thus forms the interface between architecture and engineering disciplines(www.tga.uni-kassel.de).

Tasks:

• Participation in teaching and research of the department. In teaching, this includes the preparation and implementation of courses as well as the supervision of student projects, theses, etc. In research, your tasks will be to work on your own doctoral thesis as well as to contribute to the research topics of the department.

Requirements:

• completed scientific university studies (also accredited master at university/university of applied sciences) in mechanical engineering, energy/utility engineering, environmental engineering, regenerative energies and energy efficiency or a comparable field of study
• In-depth knowledge in the fields of technical building equipment, energy efficiency in the building sector and mechanical ventilation of buildings

Advantageous are:

• Experience in setting up and carrying out measurements of building automation, building and system simulation
• IT knowledge, including MS Office
• a high degree of organizational skills as well as interest in interdisciplinary cooperation, especially with architects
