Research assistant (EG 13 TV-H) - in the field of plastics technology

The position is limited until 30.04.2020 as part of the third-party funded project "Continuous mixing of silicone rubber (KoMiSi)" (§ 2 Abs. 2 WissZeitVG). The possibility of a doctorate is given.

Tasks:

As a Research. Employee in the Plastics Technology Group at the Institute of Materials Engineering at the University of Kassel, you will work on application- and basic research-oriented questions of plastics technology in a young, innovative working environment with above-average laboratory equipment as part of the third-party funded project "Continuous mixing of silicone rubber".

Requirements:

You have an above-average university degree in one of the following disciplines:

• • Materials science
  • Mechanical engineering/ plastics technology
  • Chemistry with a connection to polymers/plastics

You have a keen interest in scientific issues relating to plastics technology and are highly motivated and proactive. A convincing and confident manner and good written and spoken English skills are required.

Advantageous are:

• Previous experience in plastics processing, preferably in silicone processing
• Thorough and independent working methods
• a high degree of organizational skills
• experience in working with silicone extruders and material preparation
