Research assistant (EG 13 TV-H) - in the field of plastics technology

The position is limited until 30.04.2020 within the scope of the third-party funded project "Continuous mixing of silicone rubber (KoMiSi)" (§ 2 Abs. 2 WissZeitVG). The possibility for doctoral studies is given.

Tasks:

As a wiss. Mitarbeiter im FG Kunststofftechnik am Institut für Werkstofftechnik der Universität Kassel you will work on application and basic research oriented questions of plastics engineering in a young, innovative working environment with above-average laboratory equipment within the scope of the externally funded project "Continuous Mixing of Silicone Rubber".

Requirements:

You have an above-average scientific university degree in one of the following fields:

• • Materials science
  • Mechanical engineering/ plastics technology
  • Chemistry with a reference to polymers/plastics

You are characterized by a very strong interest in scientific issues in plastics engineering and bring a high level of motivation and initiative. A convincing and confident appearance as well as a good command of written and spoken English are required.

Advantageous are:

• previous knowledge in plastics processing preferably in silicone processing
• thorough and independent working methods
• a high degree of organizational skills
• experience in handling silicone extruders and material preparation
